Why

Because shared infrastructure needs early backing

Most places need similar digital foundations. They need ways to promote local businesses, publish events, surface offers, share opportunities, collect requests, coordinate partners and show what is happening locally. But these things are often rebuilt separately by councils, BIDs, chambers, regeneration projects and local partnerships. The result is duplication, short-term delivery, fragmented content and repeated spend. Anchor Supporter exists to help fund the reusable parts once, so more places can benefit from the same foundations without losing their own local identity or control. This is especially relevant because local growth, town centre and regeneration funding is already being directed into high streets, business support, town centre improvements, digital adoption and local partnerships. The challenge is turning that funding into lasting capability, rather than another short-term project.

How it helps

What Anchor Supporters can help fund

Anchor Supporters can express interest in one of several priority areas. This does not create exclusive control over that area, but it helps us understand where early partners see the greatest need.

Local business profiles
A reusable structure for presenting businesses, services, contact details, categories, offers, updates and useful local information.
